UTIs in Older Adults: Prevention, Symptoms, and Treatment
Wednesday, June 21, 1:00-2:00 pm
A Suburban Hospital Webinar
Free & Open to Everyone
Learn directly from the experts about how to prevent, diagnose, and treat urinary tract infections, or UTIs. These infections are a common health problem that affects millions of people each year, especially older adults.
While UTIs can cause mild problems for young adults, they can have more severe consequences in seniors. UTI symptoms may include frequent urination, pain or burning when passing, fever, altered mental status, and nausea or vomiting. While these infections may be easily diagnosed, their treatment may not always include antibiotics.
Our special Webinar panel will include members of the Epidemiology and Infection Control Team at Suburban Hospital including Sonia Qasba, MD, MPH; Alyssa Kubischta, PharmD; and Darlene Smith, BSN, RN, CIC.
This program is brought to you by Suburban Hospital in partnership with Little Falls Village and in cooperation with FHNN. Register online. FHNN members and volunteers who need help registering can email information.fhnn@gmail.com with
