On Thursday, November 14, 5:00-7:00 pm, ALL residents of the Willoughby are invited to the “Party Room” to attend a meeting on building and personal safety and to learn about the variety of programs and services available to you from the Friendship Heights Neighbors Network.
There will be presentations and an opportunity to ask questions on the following topics: (1) The Willoughby’s Fire Safety Checklist and “best practices” in the event of a fire or fire alarm; (2) voluntary participation in a Willoughby “buddy system” for those residents who live alone and/or might want someone to call periodically or in the event of an emergency; and (3) neighborhood safety concerns and “tips.”
The speakers on the safety issues are Officer Demond Johnson from the MoCo Police Department and Retired Battalion Chief Jim Resnick from the MoCo Fire and Rescue Service.
We hope to see all of you on November 14. Pizza and soft drinks will be generously provided by the Friendship Heights Neighbors Network which is dedicated to the well-being of seniors living in and around Friendship Heights, MD.
