Congressional Cemetery Docent Tour, Saturday, November 12, from 10:45 am to 3:00 pm. There is no rain date. This event is organized by FHNN in collaboration with LFV.

This is their standard, group tour. Congressional Cemetery at 1801 E Street, Southeast is a 35-acre historic, yet active burial ground located on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Among the nearly 70,000 burials at Congressional are many noteworthy citizens who left their mark on the city and the nation. Come learn their amazing stories!

Explore the Cemetery from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM with a tour guide from the Association for the Preservation of Historic Congressional Cemetery. This tour is a general one, open to other Cemetery visitors. The cemetery has some main paved walkways, but the ground along the tombstones is uneven. Walking into the cemetery could present a fall risk for those with limited mobility. Sturdy shoes are recommended.

Outing plans includes optional lunch around Capitol Hill starting around 1:00 pm. Tour cost is $5 per person. Attendees also responsible for lunch and transportation costs. Email us at information.fhnn@gmail.com with “Congressional” in the subject line to learn more. Cemetery has group tours every Saturday which we are taking advantage of. Check with us about space limitations; you may be able to invite your family and friends! We are organizing a group from FHNNN and Little Falls Village as part of our collaboration.
