National Gallery of Art
How and why did rules of painting change radically throughout the twentieth century? On this tour we will explore how artists departed from traditional materials and subject matter while grappling with the modern world. Focusing on the National Gallery of Art’s East Building, we’ll see works by Matisse, Picasso, Mondrian, and others to bring us up to the present day. Our docent is Estelle Quain, an FHNN member and volunteer.
This virtual tour is for FHNN and Little Falls Village members and volunteers as part of our collaboration. Register online. Members and volunteers who need help registering can email information.fhnn@gmail.com with Modern Art in the subject line.
