Orientation for FHNN Volunteers

Each orientation session is for new volunteers at FHNN who wish to provide services to our members.
FHNN is looking for volunteers to help seniors age in place in Friendship Heights, MD. We are in particular need of people who are able to drive our members to appointments and activities. You do not have to wait during the event, and you can commit to driving just to or from the appointment/activity. The time commitment is typically an hour or less.
We are also looking for those who can provide tech support, friendly visits or check-in calls, and read to our members.
Volunteers select the requests they wish to handle. Our members are located in the high-rise buildings in Friendship Heights, MD. You do not need to be a resident in one of the Friendship Heights buildings to be an FHNN volunteer.

If you are interested in the February 10 date, please email us with “February Orientation” in the subject line. (If you can attend either session, please let us know when you email. We'll assign you a date.) Space is limited at each session. Your emailed registration does not guarantee availability. We will contact you to confirm a spot.
Note: All FHNN volunteers providing services to FHNN members must pass a criminal background check, sign a privacy agreement, and be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 including at least one booster shot. Transportation providers must pass a check of their driving record.
