April 16-22 Is National Volunteer Week

Deadline to Register: April 10 at 5:00 pm

In recognition of National Volunteer Week, FHNN wants to celebrate the heartbeat of our community: Our volunteers! We are holding a volunteer appreciation reception on April 17 at The Elizabeth's Party Room.

Let's gather together to swap stories and enjoy each other's company. You'll be treated to:

• Live music provided by our talented intern, Ethan Kumar (on keyboards).
  
  

• Refreshments catered by Linda W. Smith of Homemade Signatures.
  
  

• A small gift for each of our volunteers.
  
  

• A raffle. The raffle prize is a $50 gift certificate for Lia's Restaurant donated by SmithLife HomeCare.
  
  

• Appreciations for some special volunteers.

We will also be honoring Linda Herson. Linda is a founding member of FHNN and led our volunteer recruitment and training for years. She is now stepping back from this role, but not before we recognize her for helping to create our community's vibrant spirit of giving.

Come out and help us say, 'Thank you!'

Invitations have been emailed to everyone on our volunteer list (both in-person services and administrative support). If you think we missed you, please email us at information.fhnn@gmail.com so we can add you to our volunteer list and register you for the event. 

Any FHNN member, or anyone from the Friendship Heights' neighborhood, who is interested in volunteering with us is also welcome to attend.

The deadline to register is April 10 at 5:00 pm so we can order the appropriate-sized amount of food.
